Brown is a licensed civil attorney in Maryland who received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Law and holds both a Bachelor's in Political Science and a Master's in City and Regional Planning from Morgan State University. She served as law clerk to the late Honorable Howard I. Golden, Chief Judge of the Orphans Court for Baltimore City, then worked at a small firm in Silver Spring before becoming a solo practitioner focused on estate planning, administration, and probate law with over twenty years of practice experience. Brown has taught Business Law courses as adjunct faculty at Anne Arundel Community College, DeVry University, and Howard Community College. She currently works as a Court Administrator in Baltimore City and resides in Ellicott City with her two sons. She has described herself in prior campaign materials as having more than 20 years of experience in estate planning and estate administration. She previously sought a seat on the Howard County Orphans’ Court in 2022, suggesting a continued interest in the legal and probate issues handled by the Register of Wills office.
