Stone holds master's degrees in public administration and political management from George Washington University and is certified by the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations & Executives. He has served as President of the Kemp Mill Civic Association, Chair of the Mid-County Citizen’s Advisory Board, Montgomery County Democratic Precinct Chair, and board member of the Jewish Community Relations Council. Stone is married to Lisa and has four children, three grandchildren, and a grand-puppy named Pepper.
