According to Bethesda Magazine, Contreras-Donello, 44, of Silver Spring, filed to run in District 14 on Jan. 9 and officially launched her campaign with an event at Restaurant 198 in Burtonsville. She worked with USAID for almost two decades including missions in El Salvador, Afghanistan, Tanzania, Pakistan, and a leadership position in Libya while living in Tunisia before being repatriated as part of the Trump administration's dismantling of USAID last year.
