Bethesda Magazine reported that Christa Tichy, a master electrician and member of the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee, dropped her pursuit of one of four at-large seats on the County Council to run for state delegate in the June Democratic primary election. Her decision came two days after District 19 Del. Bonnie Cullison announced she would not seek re-election to that seat. Tichy told Bethesda Today that serving in the Maryland General Assembly was always her dream, but she said, 'I would never run against an incumbent who, in my opinion, was doing a good job.'
