Members of the Maryland House of Delegates represent their local districts in the state legislature by proposing, debating, and voting on laws that impact public education, healthcare, and transportation. She retired from Performance Foodservice in October 2020 after a career spanning Sales & Marketing, Medical Technology, and family business ownership. Her background includes leadership roles at McDaniel Heritage Society, Carroll County Arts Council, Arc Board of Directors, Carroll County Torch Club, and multiple positions with the Maryland Democratic Party. Courpas has served as a Biden/Harris Elector in 2020, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Local Democratic Party in 2017, and was named Alumnus of the Year at McDaniel College in 2023. She is running for Maryland House of Delegates District 42C with a focus on service, integrity, and supporting local families and small businesses.
