View all candidates in this raceDominic J. Heath is a Fallston resident who moved to Harford County in 2020 with his wife and two children, where he serves as an active PTA member at Youth's Benefit Elementary School for four years. He grew up in Dundalk as the oldest of three children whose parents worked opposite shifts to provide opportunities, experiencing both academic success and setbacks including bullying and systems that failed to intervene early enough. As a teenager, Dominic was diagnosed with childhood leukemia after extreme fatigue and given only a 10% chance to live; he completed schoolwork by speakerphone while isolated in the hospital during treatments. He now works in pharmaceutical supply chain management with over 21 years of experience in budgeting, planning, project management, and financial forecasting. Heath is running for Harford County Board of Education District B because he believes schools should put parents first and put politics away.
