Born at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore and raised primarily in Aberdeen by his mother and extended family, he graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor's in History in 2020 and earned a Master's in Public Policy from American Public University in Spring 2026. His grandfather Chuck Baker was a beloved school teacher who taught shop and band in town, and Baker says he is happy to follow in his footsteps. He has worked as a substitute teacher at Churchville Elementary, Edgewood High School, and Riverside Elementary, and currently teaches social studies classes to middle and high school students at the Arrow Center for Education in Belcamp. His campaign focuses on investing in schools and public transit, making it harder for landlords to exploit residents, fighting for working-class people, managing urban sprawl while protecting green spaces, and ensuring affordable housing options.
