House of Delegates Member · Legislative District 28 · Maryland · 2026 Primary
Members of the Maryland House of Delegates represent their local districts in the state legislature by proposing, debating, and voting on laws that impact public education, healthcare, and transportation. They work alongside the state Senate to pass Maryland’s annual budget and determine how tax dollars are allocated to community services and infrastructure projects. This office is vital because delegates shape the statewide policies and spending priorities that directly influence the daily lives of all residents.

His family moved to Charles County in 1977 and he graduated McDonough High School, Class of 1981. He served eight years in the US Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate achieving Petty Officer First Class rank aboard the USS Nimitz CVN-68, USS Texas CGN-39 and USS Iwo Jima. After his Navy service he worked at the Nuclear Power Plant in Calvert County for thirty-two years receiving a Reactor Operator License from the NRC before retiring in February 2022. He has three daughters, three granddaughters and a grandson, attends St Peters Catholic Church in Waldorf, and was formerly a member of Waldorf Fire Company 3.
