A lifelong Prince George's County resident who grew up in Suitland and Upper Marlboro, she has spent over 15 years working across health, education, and child welfare in Maryland. She currently serves as a Chief of Staff within the Maryland General Assembly and previously worked with the Prince George's County Department of Social Services. A results-driven community advocate, she has experience in policy development, legislation, and advocacy for vulnerable populations. She is also an alumna of the EMERGE Maryland 2023 cohort, a training program for women in politics, and served as an at-large delegate to the 2024 Democratic National Convention. She previously ran unsuccessfully for the Maryland House of Delegates in District 23B. She is challenging incumbent Register of Wills Cereta A. Lee, who has held the position since 2006.

Healthcare

Right now, four out of five people who sign up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act can find health care coverage for $10 a month or less and millions of Americans on Obamacare are saving an average of $800 a year.
