The County Executive serves as the chief administrator of the county, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and enforcing laws passed by the County Council. This official proposes the annual budget that directs how local tax dollars are spent on services such as public schools, roads, and emergency response. The County Executive also has the power to appoint department heads and can sign or veto legislation affecting the entire county.

He is a parent and former PTA president who focuses on education, public safety, and minority business participation. Jones is running for County Executive to build on his record of community service and economic development. He is married with three children and two granddaughters.

He championed the Ravens Park project at Northwest Regional Park and has a record of public safety and education initiatives. Endorsed by Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan J. Bates and Baltimore County State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger. He emphasizes practical, effective policies and community-focused development.
