They work alongside the state Senate to pass Maryland’s annual budget and determine how tax dollars are allocated to community services and infrastructure projects. This office is vital because delegates shape the statewide policies and spending priorities that directly influence the daily lives of all residents.

She has an extensive professional background in strategic communications, having served as an editorial leader and communications manager for various public health associations and media firms. Ross holds a Master's degree in strategic communications from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina Central University. In the legislature, she serves on the Health and Government Operations Committee. Her community leadership includes serving as president of the Franklin Point and Deerborne Homeowners Association and as a former trustee for the Community College of Baltimore County.
