The County Executive serves as the chief administrator of the county, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and enforcing laws passed by the County Council. This official proposes the annual budget that directs how local tax dollars are spent on services such as public schools, roads, and emergency response. The County Executive also has the power to appoint department heads and can sign or veto legislation affecting the entire county.

She earned a B.S. in Political Science from Towson University while working full-time at Caldor, then worked as an office manager for Robert C. Mand PT PA for over 25 years. Stansbury has been married to her husband Bill for 35 years with two children and has lived in Fellowship Forest for over 30 years where she served in the Community Association and was active with PTA and Boy Scout Troop #746. She is running for County Executive because she wants to give back to her community, emphasizing transparency and accountability from county officials.

Public Safety

She stated that many people told her they don't feel safe going out after dark to the grocery store and said this has to change. The article noted that while county police reported 28 homicides in 2025 as a five-year low, Stansbury highlighted a disconnect between how residents feel about crime versus official statements.
