According to MyMCM coverage from June 23, 2021, Kristin Mink received a death threat through her campaign website that targeted her, her husband, and children. The anonymous threat claimed to track her on Facebook and included threats of physical violence. Mink explained she initially debated sharing the threat but decided to post it publicly after speaking with other women of color who received similar threats while campaigning.
