He describes himself as a proud Democrat currently running to be the next State Senator representing Maryland’s 32nd Legislative District, having previously served as a Maryland State Delegate. His background includes working sixteen-hour days delivering newspapers and selling food while his father worked long hours to support the family after his mother passed away from a brain aneurysm. He pursued higher education through Morgan State University, the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and Loyola University for an MBA. During his political career, he became the first Asian-American to serve in the Executive Branch of Anne Arundel County Government and was elected as the first Asian-American to the Maryland House of Delegates from Anne Arundel County. He recently served as Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee before seeking this new office.
