A medical laboratory scientist by profession, she has run for this seat twice before, advancing from the Democratic primary in both 2018 and 2022 but losing to the Republican incumbents in the general election each time. She is seeking the Democratic nomination again in the June 23, 2026 primary, running alongside Artus Huffman, Rayneika Robinson, and Sandra Skordalos. The top two Democratic vote-getters will face Republican incumbents Robin Grammer Jr., Bob Long, and Ric Metzgar in the November 3, 2026 general election.
