County Commissioner · District 3 · Saint Mary's County · 2026 Primary
County Commissioners act as both the lawmaking body and the executive branch for their county, meaning they pass local ordinances and oversee all county departments. They are responsible for setting property tax rates and adopting the annual budget, which determines funding levels for essential services like public schools, road maintenance, and emergency responders. Their decisions on land use and zoning also directly influence how your community grows and what types of businesses or housing can be built.

First off, I would like to thank the residents of St. Mary's County for entrusting me with the incredible honor of being your commissioner from the 3rd District.
My family is my life, my county, and its residents are my mission.
I have been serving my community for many years, from church youth groups when I was younger, being an active member in the 7th District Optimist Club, coaching soccer for my boys, and currently as your commissioner. All of these experiences have helped me to grow personally and professionally and I continue to draw upon these experiences as well as listening to you, the citizens, as I work to navigate our ever evolving county.
This re-election campaign is going to go all the way to November and it will take resources to make this successful!

Fraternal Organization Fundraising
Working with state legislators to restore fundraising capabilities for St. Mary's County fraternal organizations through SB0357 and HB0610
“In late 2025 members of a St. Mary's County fraternal organization contacted me and members of our Southern Maryland Delegation with an issue regarding fundraising capabilities. Senator Bailey and Delegate Todd Morgan, both filed legislation that would restore certain fundraising capabilities to these organizations.”
Government Ethics
Running as Unaffiliated/Independent candidate due to Hatch Act compliance while serving as federal employee
“By virtue of my employment with the federal government, I am forced to run as an Unaffiliated/Independent candidate to comply with the Hatch Act. Let me be clear on this: my position at my agency in no way, shape, or form has any bearing on my ability to continue my duties as county commissioner.”
Community Engagement
Seeking volunteers for treasurer duties, digital content help, and door knocking to support campaign efforts
“I am in search of some help this season and here is what I am looking for: 1) Someone to lend a hand with treasurer duties. My current treasurer (my Mom) is very active in several volunteer organizations and I'd like to have someone to backstop her at events.”
