County Council Members serve as the legislative branch of county government, passing local laws and approving the annual budget that funds public schools, roads, and emergency services. They set local tax rates and make final decisions on land use and zoning, which determines where new homes and businesses can be built. This office is responsible for prioritizing how your tax dollars are spent and managing the long-term growth and infrastructure of your community.

She came to Maryland in the late 1980s, earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from College of Notre Dame in 1992, and later received her Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from University of Baltimore in 1999. Currently residing in Harford County for eight years with her retired law enforcement husband, she owns Voice of a Child, LLC where she provides child and adolescent therapy and works with high conflict parents. Her career spans foster care work, juvenile intervention services, family support coordination at Cecil County Circuit Court from 2005-2023, and current roles as mediator, parent coordinator, and clinically certified forensic counselor.

I was appointed to the County Council on January 7, 2025, following the removal of the previous council member due to ethical issues. Since then, I have made it a point to be a visible presence in the community and ensure that I am an open door for constituents.
My ultimate goal is a more equal, inclusive world for all! I have helped so many people in various walks of life who have experienced unbelievable challenges and now I want to help you , to feel safe in your neighborhoods, create more funding for mental health and substance abuse, provide more opportunities for our children, and resources for our underprivileged and the homeless in our communities.
I am a Democrat, and the race is about to start for me and for you. Like any race, it can feel like a marathon, but I am up for the challenge Help me cross the finish line and win the race to create change for all of us.
