A Better Western Maryland Is Possible! Working families are paying more and getting less. We were the gateway to the west, and a hub of opportunity. Now, it feels like no one cares about our futures.
We don't need someone to just fill the seat. We need someone focused on a better future, with lower bills and better opportunities.
Western Maryland was once a hub of trade, manufacturing, and transportation. Our community powered the state not just with our resources, but with our labor and economy as well. Those days are long gone, with jobs leaving, plants closing, and no plans for the future.
We don't need a seat warmer; we need a dedicated, active force in Annapolis constantly demanding 'Why not Western Maryland?'

Energy
Advocates for rapidly deploying solar with local ownership on county- and town-owned buildings to keep revenue in communities. Supports household solar for individual energy independence and property value improvement. Calls for government energy efficiency master plans rather than asking Marylanders to lower usage.
“RAPIDLY DEPLOYING SOLAR WITH LOCAL OWNERSHIP By installing solar on county- and town-owned buildings to keep revenue and development in our hands, we can increase county budgets without extra cost to the taxpayer.”
Economic Development
Supports bringing industries with good benefits and union labor. Advocates for rail service expansion to remake 'Hub City' in Hagerstown. Opposes data center tax exemptions and corporate welfare loopholes where billion-dollar companies don't pay fair wages.
“Whether that's expanding rail service to remake 'Hub City' in Hagerstown, fighting for more manufacturing jobs like the Hitachi Factory, or supporting small businesses in an economy that actively fights against them - a local economy puts more money into our towns, not far off board rooms.”
Housing
Promotes smart growth over sprawl and unchecked construction. Proposes abandoned property reclamation program where unsalvageable properties are demolished and rebuilt for community use or first-time homebuyers. Supports affordable community housing controlled by towns and councils.
“IF DEVELOPERS WON'T DO IT, WE WILL Western Maryland is one of the most beautiful places in the State. But that beauty is threatened by unchecked construction, sprawling warehouses, and abandoned properties.”
Healthcare
Opposes cutting rural hospitals during state budget crises. Believes quality medical care shouldn't require living in DC area.
“Whenever the State faces a budget crisis, rural hospitals are among the first to be on the chopping block. Quality medical care shouldn't require you to live in the DC area”
Infrastructure
Supports rail service expansion for freight and passenger services. Advocates for energy generation that is fast to bring online and reliable, rather than buying out-of-state fuels.
“Western Maryland was built with the rail roads, and it can join in rail's rebirth.”
