Her professional career began as a hearing itinerant within Carroll County Public Schools providing specialized support services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels while conducting professional development for educators. She currently serves as an Itinerant Teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing students from preschool through graduation. Wilhide is actively involved in community service through the Girl Scouts and serves as Vice President of the PTA at her children's school.
