A Waldorf resident, she previously ran for the Charles County Board of Education at-large seat in 2022, losing in the July primary. This is her second run for the school board. She is also serving as treasurer for another 2026 Charles County Board of Education candidate, Pascale Small. Her campaign priorities have focused on teacher retention and compensation, advocating for livable wages for teachers and support staff to prevent Charles County from losing quality educators. She has also advocated for using available funding to combat pandemic-related learning loss, including expanding summer school access for all students who want it. She is running in a five-person race for the two District 1 seats alongside incumbents Samichie Thomas and David Hancock, as well as Eileen G. Parks and Zach Ball. The Charles County Board of Education race is nonpartisan, with the primary on June 23 and the general election on November 3, 2026.
