According to the East County Times, Fazenbaker filed his candidacy on December 23, joining JD Urbach in the Republican primary for District 9 which covers Dundalk, Rosedale and Edgemere. The article notes he has been a consistent and outspoken critic of sanctuary-style policies and increasing county fees. His stated priorities include cooperation with ICE, attracting AI and technology development to the area, cleaning and protecting local waterways, expanding trade and job training opportunities, and putting local residents and taxpayers first.
