View all candidates in this raceTodd A. Ferrante is a current member of the Worcester County Board of Education representing District 7 and is seeking re-election in 2026, running unopposed. First elected to the Board in November 2022, he was elected Board President in January 2025 and re-elected to that position for 2026. During his tenure as President he has overseen a number of significant initiatives, including the successful search for a new Superintendent of Schools following the retirement of longtime Superintendent Louis Taylor after 41 years of service, leading the board's public engagement process and ultimately selecting Dr. Annette Wallace as Taylor's successor. He has been a vocal advocate for maintaining Worcester County's record of academic excellence and has represented the board at the annual Worcester County Teacher of the Year celebration. He is the only incumbent filing for re-election in the four contested Board of Education seats on the November 3, 2026 general election ballot, as District 1 member Bill Buchanan and District 4 member Bill Gordy chose not to seek re-election.
