Her current term ends December 31, 2026, and she currently serves as Board President. A lifelong Chestertown resident, she attended local schools and graduated from Washington College with honors, majoring in history, while working a full-time job throughout her senior year. She has been employed by the Kent County News since December 1985, covering two generations of Kent County residents as a reporter and photographer. She has served as a field hockey coach at Kent County High School for over 25 years. MyEasternShoreMD McGee has served eight years on the Kent County Board of Education, making this her third term bid. She has also been involved in community service, delivering food weekly through the Feeding the Elderly initiative through Minary's Dream Alliance since the onset of the COVID pandemic in March 2020.
