Members of the Board of Education oversee the local public school system by setting educational policies, approving the annual operating budget, and hiring the superintendent. He graduated from Shippensburg University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Education and major in History, then taught Social Studies at Fauquier High School in Warrenton, Virginia before deploying overseas to Poland as part of NATO Operation Enhanced Forward Presence in 2019. After his military deployment, he returned to teaching at Monocacy Middle School and Catoctin High School until the end of 2021 when he transitioned into a career as a regional sales manager for an IT infrastructure manufacturer. Currently living in Frederick County with his wife and three children, he continues to serve in the Maryland Army National Guard while coaching his son in baseball and football. Walker campaigns on common sense policies aimed at transforming FCPS through fiscal responsibility, enhanced teacher support, parental rights, school choice options, and academic excellence.
