Clyde Boatwright and fellow former Baltimore County Sheriff's deputy Adam Schuster. The race is an open seat following incumbent Sheriff R. Jay Fisher's decision not to seek re-election after holding the position since 2002. The winner of the Democratic primary will face Republican Michael F. Burke in the November 3, 2026 general election.
